Finally, skip the upgrade wizard, which can sometimes fail because it's unable to ask for your permission to get past an error. Instead, run Windows Setup directly from downloaded installation files.
To do this, use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to download the necessary files to a USB drive; you can also use the option to save the installer as an ISO file, which you can then mount as a virtual drive, with its own drive letter.

Expand each entry on the left to see the list of known and resolved issues for supported releases of Windows Known issues are most likely to appear in the first few months after the release of a new feature update. Incompatibilities with software and hardware can lead Microsoft to impost temporary compatibility blocks for systems with those particular configurations.

Open File Explorer Windows Explorer in Windows 7 and make a note of the drive letter assigned to the external or virtual drive where your Windows installation files are available. Even with the media creation method, Windows 10 must be installed from the desktop without a product key the first time. If you see a page asking for a product key you may have started the computer with the media. That won't work without a product key, and you don't have one. Do not enter a product key.

I checked the log for updates and i found 10 windows 10 download attempts that had all failed. I decided to install using the media tool and now every time I try to finish it i get "windows 10 setup has failed to validate the product key" and i am forced to close it.
I have tried reinstalling it 4 times and still have had no luck with it. This thread is locked.
